DC brake: If DC brake is used, it is * preferred. There are two options for MM4 to be put into DC brake:
Mode 1. Input through a certain number. Direct current braking can be performed during operation (when ON still exists) or when stop, either through terminals or through the control word of the network or through the interconnection of BiCo. The braking time is equal to the command (terminal) action time. The characteristic is that if ON exists, the frequency converter will start to run again at the slope when the DC brake order is cancelled.
Mode 2. After issuing the OFF1/OFF3 command, when the frequency decreases below the frequency set by P1234, direct current braking is put into operation, and the braking time is set in parameter P1233 (default setting is 0, no direct current braking function). The characteristic is that once again ON does not work before the end of P1233.
The braking strength of the above two modes is set in P1232 (default is 100% rated current P0305, braking force is very large).
DC braking process: After reaching the DC braking condition, the converter first cuts off the pulse (OFF2) and injects DC current (0Hz) into the stator coil after P0347 (demagnetization time).
The effect of DC braking: For asynchronous motors, injecting DC does not completely hold the motor shaft as holding brake. It only exerts a reverse moment under the external moment (the magnitude of the moment is determined by P1232). And there must be electricity, once the converter loses power, DC brake will not exist (be careful).
